2011 Christmas Letter
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from our family to yours! It is hard to believe 2012 is just around the corner.
We are thankful for the Lord bringing us through another year and look forward to new horizons this coming New Year. God has
been faithful and we remain grateful. We are excited about the growth of our church and are busy with church life and management of the mobile home parks. John does a wonderful job preaching and ministering to the congregation. Our home is full once again with kids home for the holidays. It's nice to spend time together and see the growth in each of their lives. Keegan and Christa are doing well and will be married 2 years in April. Keegan is a youth pastor at a larger sister church down the road. He helps John from time to time. Christa continues to excel at her job and helps Keegan. It's nice to have them close by and we enjoy getting together. Ben has a good job as a staffer for a Congressman in Washington DC. He started as an intern in college and worked his way up. He enjoys the many opportunities that go along with working on Capitol Hill. We look forward to him being home for the holidays. Shawna is a senior at Evangel University in Springfield, MO. She is majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. She is looking forward to being a small group facilitator with her church group this next semester. The three kids enjoy being together at the same college. Nathan is a sophomore at Evangel majoring in Pre-Law with a minor in History and Public Administration. He just finished this last semester with straight A's. He recently attended the Christian Legal Society conference in Chicago and may intern with our local Federal Judge. Sara has completed her first semester at Evangel with excellent grades and a GPA of 3.6. She plans to major in Elementary Education. She enjoys college life and playing intramural sports against her sister's team and working out with Nathan and Shawna at the gym. John David is a very active third grader. He loves to read and is an A student in all subjects. He loves sports and enjoys trying to beat his brothers and their friends at fantasy football. Now that Ben and Nathan are away, he is his dad's traveling companion. His biggest highlight was going to Houston with his dad to a minister's conference and hanging out with Joel Osteen. Amanda is a joyful and creative first grader who can have fun with everything. She loves school and all her friends and likes to sing and play the piano. She is extremely happy to have her older brothers and sisters home. She is my big helper and companion now that the older girls are away. It is easy to get caught up with life and forget the most important things that matter. First being our Savior and relationship with Him. We are thankful there is no problem too big for our Lord. Our prayer this coming New Year is that we would live to please God and do His will. We look forward to visiting John's family after church on Christmas and continuing on to Florida with the kids to see his Dad. We love you and thank the Lord for who you are to us. We wish you well and trust the Lord's love and peace be with you throughout the year. God
Bless, Sue, John and
